Climbing Jacob’s Ladder – Celebrating the Festival of Ascension with Hazel Archer-Ginsberg

In heavy clouds let Him ascend

And so also let Him downward tread.

In cooling streams let Him be sent,

In flames of fire blaze His descent,

In air & essence, sound & dew

To permeate our whole earth thru” ~Novalis

Ascension is a Festival of the Elements, & of the Hierarchies; it relates to the Transfiguration and the fulfillment of the promise of the “Second Coming”. Together we will explore the mystery of ‘As Above so Below’

Michaelmas Festival

The Michaelmas Festival will be held in early October 2021. The date should be set by Tuesday, August 24, 2021.

Michaelmas is not directly based on cosmic alignment, in that it is traditionally celebrated on the fixed date of the feast of st Michael, September 29. However, similar to Christmas, St. John and Easter, it is in “essential” alignment with one of the cardinal points in the yearly cycle, in this case the autumn equinox. This year the fall equinox will be exact September 22 at 3:21 PM EDT.

Spiritual schooling with Laszlo Böszörmenyi  (Presentation and 3 Practice Sessions)

We are in the age of freedom and love. They are, however, only potentialities and we realize them usually only to a very limited extent. Everyday life is rather exercising the opposite of freedom and love. People with a modern consciousness are not able to realize these great ideals without an intensive spiritual practice – ideally on a daily basis. Based on the works of Rudolf Steiner and Georg Kühlewind we begin with very elementary concentration exercises and go further to meditation.

Laszlo Böszörmenyi has been working on exercises of the meditation path for more than forty years. He has been a friend and scholar of Georg Kühlewind for almost thirty years. He lives in Klagenfurt, Austria. He regularly gives talks and seminars on inner schooling and fairy tales, and for Waldorf Kindergarten teachers. He has published several short papers and recently a book on these topics (mainly in German). He worked 45 years as a researcher in computer science, the last 25 years of his career at the Klagenfurt University, as a computer science professor. Since he retirned in 2017, he devotes himself entirely to spiritual work.

This will be a Presentation and 3 Practice Sessions via Zoom.
