The Seven Soul Types, as indicated by Rudolf Steiner (Presentation and discussion)

Jennifer Goodman, M.Ed. has done extensive research on the Seven Soul Types. She is an anthroposophically trained counselor, offering child, teen, and adult counseling, workshops, and parent coaching. She is a certified Waldorf Collaborative Counselor, Simplicity Parenting Coach, and Social Inclusion Coach. She received her Master’s in the Waldorf Experienced Educators program at Antioch University.

Imprinted in us on our spiritual journey to this lifetime, the soul types are often overlooked in favor of the temperaments to describe character and personality. While the latter is expressed in the etheric body and is more fixed, the soul types work through the astral body, with potential for development throughout our lives. This is a powerful model for working effectively with different styles and developing new ways of approaching situations that balance and support us. Through this model, we can come to understanding ourselves better and how we affect those in our lives. This is a practical look at questions such as: How does your individual way of being in the world fit in with others? What capacities serve you best as you create what you want in your life?

Easter Festival

ASinGB Festivals Committee warmly invites you to join us for our Easter festival. As the sun’s rays awaken us from our wintry slumber, our deep inner ponderings can now bring forth a more clear and bright experience of the resurrection of the Spirit. Though the Mystery of Golgotha remains ineffable, we hope that together we may strive towards embodying the “Spirit Triumphant” in our daily lives. We encourage you to read the lecture by Steiner, “Spirit Triumphant” in preparation for the festival, which will include an opportunity for sharing. This lecture can be found at this link: https://wn.rsarchive.org/Lectures/Dates/19210327p01.html

The Festival will be Saturday, April 10th 4 – 5:30 pm on Zoom.

Register by emailing newsletter@anthroposophyboston.org by Monday, April 5th. You will receive a confirmation email immediately, and then an email with the zoom link two days before the ASinGB Activity.

Anthroposophical Medicine Round Table

Four New England Anthroposophical Physicians take up the questions: What is the meaning of illness? What is important in medicine? What is medicine? What is healing? What is Anthroposophical Medicine? Why would you seek an anthroposophical physician?  What is the patient/doctor partnership?

Dr. Einstein is an Anthroposophic/family medicine doctor practicing in Freeport and Rockport, Maine.  After a first career in industrial energy efficiency Dr Einstein began his journey in medicine as a volunteer in several free clinics.  As he got more involved in medicine he found himself drawn to both conventional and holistic forms of medicine.  He trained as an herbalist at the Blue Otter School and then went on to medical school at Case Western in Cleveland, Ohio.  He met his wife there, and both of them came back to New England for residency training at Maine-Dartmouth in Augusta. He completed residency in 2011 and is now board certified in Family Medicine, Integrative Medicine, and Anthroposophic medicine. Dr. Einstein’s website is http://holistic-einstein.com

Dr. Kelly Sutton received her Medical Degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine and pursued training in internal medicine and pediatrics. She received certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and by the board of Anthroposophic Medicine. She has practiced anthroposophic and integrative medicine for over 40 years, and studied botanical oncology with Donnie Yance. She provides preventive medicine for all ages, and consults with families to provide natural treatment options for acute and chronic illness including cancer as a way to prevent future chronic illness.  Dr. Sutton’s website is www.raphaelmedicine.com

Dr. Suetta Tenney is an Internal Medicine Specialist in Camden, Maine. She graduated with honors from Tufts University School Of Medicine in 1982. Having more than 39 years of diverse experiences, especially in Internal Medicine, Dr. Suetta Tenney affiliates with Lawrence General Hospital, cooperates with many other doctors and specialists in many medical groups including Genesis Eldercare Physician Services LLC, Gps Physician Group, Pc.

Dr. Christine Young is board certified in Internal Medicine and works as a primary care physician at Kronos Health in Lawrence, MA.  She did her residency training at Tufts New England Medical Center and an additional year of fellowship training in cardiology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.  She has participated in the training program for Anthroposophic Medicine.  She is interested in how complementary therapies including medicinal plants, homeopathic preparations, and supportive therapies can create and augment opportunities for healing.  Dr. Young’s website is https://www.kronoshealth.com

Holy Nights Festival

In preparation for our Holy Nights Festival, we invite you to contemplate the following:

As you receive the natural phenomena around the holy nights into your soul, what arises as an inner image of the Christ birthing within? For example, you might notice the stillness of a tree with bare branches, or the stillness after a snowfall (before the generators turn on!)

You are welcome to share your experience during our festival via any modality that feels right to you: art, story, poem or song are a few possibilities.

Register by emailing newsletter@anthroposophyboston.org by Tuesday, December 29th
